A Rose With Sympathy - Heartcraft Paper

Sympathy cards are one of the hardest cards to make, I struggle with them all the time, so I try to get some made before I need them.

I love this Rose image from Heartcraft Paper, it is one of the prettiest roses i've seen in a long time. I actually coloured this one up a while ago and found it in my coloured up tray and thought it would be perfect for a Sympathy card. I wanted to show you can use an image for different occasions to give it different meaning.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer and coloured it using Copic Markers.

The sentiment came from MFT Stamps Critter Condolences, I put the image into my Misti Stamping Tool so I didn't accidentally bugger it up, and inked it up using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I cut some patterned paper layers from Kaisercraft Sweet Pea 6.5" Paper Pad using Fiskars Surecut Trimmer, which I then matted onto American Crafts Cardstocks using Scotch ATG. I glued a Doily on top of the patterned papers.

I ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares die.
