Hedgehog Hollow GDT Corners and Feathers

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing with you my first GDT Project for Hedgehog Hollow using the September Sub Box.

For my card today, because of course I am going to make a card :-), I have used the Corners and Feathers stamp set, I really love the peacock feathers in the September Sub Box.

I cut down a sheet of Canson Montreal Aquarelle Watercolour Paper and stamped one of the feathers multiple times to cover the sheet using Ink On 3 Blackout Waterproof Ink and a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block.

Using a Silver Brush Black Velvet Round 6 brush and Winsor and Newton Watercolours I painted all the feathers roughly (I wanted the rough look to them).

I stamped one of the sentiments out onto a strip of American Crafts card stock using Ink On 3 Clear Embossing ink (I prepped the card stock using my Powder Tool) and my Misti Stamping Tool. I added Ranger Ink Super Fine White Detail Embossing Powder and melted it using a heat tool. I then trimmed it down using my Tim Holtz Guillotine.

I used the pink card stock and the card base from the kit to create the layers to my card.

I fussy cut one of the extra feathers that I stamped out and painted using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors and adhered it to my card, I then adhered the sentiment strip over the top.

I adhered the stamped piece down to the pink layer using Scotch Foam Tape, then I adhered all the layers to my Card Base using American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

Finally I used Wink Of Stella on the extra feather and my card was complete.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Honey Bee Stamps - Fluttering By

Hey all :-)

As you seen my huge Haul a few days ago I wanted to share with you two cards I made using the Honey Bee Stamps Fluttering By Stamp Set and the matching dies, I also used the Congrats Die.

I stamped all the images out onto Canson Montreal Aquarelle Watercolour Paper using my Misti Stamping Tool and Ink on 3 Clear Embossing Ink and Ranger Ink White Super Fine Embossing Powder. I then used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.

Using the Winsor and Newton Pro Watercolour Palette I coloured all the images up using Silver Brush Company Round #5 Brush. I really love the way these images painted up.

I ran the images through my Sizzix Big Shot using the matching dies and used  American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive to adhered them to my card. For the bigger sections I used Glue Dots Permanent.

On the first card I used the congrats die and the butterflies and some of the sentiments.

On the second card I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Heart Circle Die and some Bella My Romance Papers.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

So here is a few notes before I get started, as stated this is my first time (seriously fresh out of the box for this card) so please be nice hehe, also I did not use the paints on watercolour paper, this is my usual X-Press It Blending Cardstock. I couldn't find my watercolour paper but really wanted to try out my new goodies. I may have been a little excited :-)

I started by using my new Ink on 3 Fadeout Ink, this ink is seriously amazing. I also used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the sentiments out in my Misti Stamping Tool. I used my Silver Brush Company Black Velvet Number 2 Round Brush to paint my images. (Another thing I have been hoarding.. I think I ordered these when we were on our honeymoon almost 12 months ago).

I used my Uni-ball Signo white gel pen to add some details to the images, then used my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors to fussy cut the images.

The patterned papers are from Echo Park Head Over Heels 6x6 Paper Pad. I used my ATG to adhere all the bigger pieces using Scotch ATG and the smaller pieces using American Tombow Mono Multi.

Everything was then adhered to a Couture Creations Card Base.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).
