Honey Bee Stamps - You shine to me

Hi Everyone,

Today I am using a gorgeous new stamp set (to me) from Honey Bee Stamps called Shine On. I really love this stamp set, unfortunately when I ordered it was out of stock so I had to wait for it. It finally arrived and I was so busy I wasn't able to use it until now.

I stamped the nail polish bottle out 3 times onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black using a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block.

I ran the images through my Sizzix Big Shot using the matching dies (Which I had cut apart using my wire cutters), I used a small piece of washi tape to hold the die in place so they did not move as I ran them through.

Using some glitter card stock I ran the bow die through a couple of times. I used the same glitter card stock and stamped out the nail polish bottles out onto the reverse side.. I used my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors to cut just the bottom part of the bottle.

I ran the bow die through a second time using some vellum and layered it over the glitter card, just using adhesive on the centre so the sides popped off the bottle a little bit. I coloured the reverse of the centre using Copic Markers just to keep that bright colour going.

I grabbed another Honey Bee Stamp Set - Happy Birthday, I stamped the sentiment out onto Vellum using Ink On 3 Embossing Ink, Super Fine White Embossing Powder from Ranger Ink and melted it using my Heat Tool. I also prepared the vellum beforehand using a powder tool. I then used my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors to fussy cut the sentiment out.

I grabbed the Nail Polish bottles that I first cut out and coloured them up using Copic Markers (you can find them listed below).

I used my Helmar Acid Free to start layering up the Nail Polish bottles, I adhered the glitter layer I cut down earlier to the bottom of the bottle, then the bows on top of those and the vellum layer of bow.

I used Paper Rose Jumbo Numbers and ran them through my Big Shot using American Crafts Black Cardstock, I used my Uni-Ball white gel pen to add some details to the numbers and add the TH to the 6.

I began adhering all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Helmar Acid Free.

To finish the card off I used Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops in Silver Moondust.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Hello everyone :-)

I am very very delighted to be back with Fitztown, and have jumped straight into a card.

Unfortunately I had some very serious family issues this year whilst designing for Fitztown, the best step for me was to step down for a while and do my best to deal with it all. Thankfully I had the support of my fellow DT's who have welcomed me back with open arms.

Tonight I have created a first birthday card for a little boy using an image from Morgan.

I had borrowed these from a friend for this particular card but I will definitely be purchasing these in my next order :-)

One of the school mums asked me to make a card for her daughter 12th birthday, she was having a moustache theme party, I had not yet made a moustache card so had a lot of trouble getting into the theme, I'm very disappointed to say this took me weeks :-( then a friend showed me these stamps of hers and I fell in love lol!

Memento Tuxedo Black
Memento Desert Sand
American Crafts Cardstock
Kaisercraft Bling

Cricket boy turns 10

Hi :-) It is currently 10.40pm here in Sydney, Australia and yes I should be sleeping, but I am having a lot of trouble with that lately so I thought I would catch up on some blogging.

My son asked me to make a card for his BFF's 10th Birthday. Aidan loves cricket and has just started playing so I thought that would be a great place to start.

A friend pointed me in the direction of this stamp while I had been trying to hunt something down, finding a boy playing cricket is not as easy as I thought that it would be.

This image is from Crafts U Print and the image is called Cricketing Doodles.

Logan turns 5 with Red Foo

Good Afternoon all :-)

My Beautiful little boy turned 5 on Saturday, he is a very big fan of Red Foo from LMFAO, for those of you who know him will understand this card.

It took me 2 weeks to make this card as I was struggling to find an image to use on it. I ended up finding this particular image by accident 2 days before his birthday! I couldn't believe it when I came across it.

I cannot believe how fast the past few years have gone, for us in Australia kids start Kindergarten in Primary school around the age of 5. Most of the children turn 5 before starting but the cut off is 5 in July, so as long as they are 5 before that date.

Anyway, this is a big thing for kids and my son is so so excited about starting in January next year, he is also excited about going to big school with his big brother, who will be in year 5 next year when he starts.

Well I guess I had better get onto my card lol. I found this image on a craft site called Crafts U Print and the image is called Night Fever Doodles.

What I used for this card

Uniball Signo White Gel Pen
