Whimsy Stamps - Welcome to the Neighborhood Little Guy

Hey Everyone,

Today I would like to share with you a card I made using an image from Whimsy Stamps May Release called In The Doghouse.

This is a Digital Stamp so I printed it onto X-Press It Blending Card using my Brother Laser Printer, I then coloured the image up using Copic Markers.

I used some patterned papers from my stash that I have been hoarding for many many years - since my old scrapbooking days. I remembered I had this patterned paper and began searching for it when I seen this cute little image.

I also used some other patterned papers from my stash, also unknown brands as I've had them for a while.

I matted the patterned papers using Francheville Kraft Cardstock and some American Crafts Cardstock.

I ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips, I stamped it onto American Crafts Black Cardstock (that I had already prepped using a Powder Tool) using Ink On 3 Embossing Ink, I then applied Ranger Ink Super Fine White Embossing Powder and melted it using my Heat Tool. I ran the sentiments through my Big Shot using the matching dies.

I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Helmar Acid Free liquid Adhesive, this is my go to for liquid adhesives.

I used leftovers of the same patterned papers to decorate the inside of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Ahoy Neighbour

Good Morning Everyone,

It's a new month which means New Release time over at Whimsy Stamps, the girls started us off yesterday and today I am sharing with you Ahoy Matey from the Digital Stamps New Release.

I printed the image onto X-Press It  Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer, then coloured the image up using Copic Markers.

I went with simplicity on my card today, because I actually ended up colouring 3 of the images as I couldn't stop :-) I will share those with you later in the month.

I used some patterned papers from Little Boy Blue from Crate Paper, I used all leftovers on the front of my card which is always awesome. I like to use up as much of my paper pad as I can, there's no wastage here.

I trimmed down the little D block from the same paper pad using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors then bannered it up.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expression Simple Strips, I stamped it out on American Crafts Black Cardstock which I had already prepared using a Powder Tool using Ink On 3 Embossing Ink. I then added some Ranger Ink Super Fine White Embossing Powder. I then melted the embossing powder using my Heat Tool. I ran the sentiments through my Sizzix Big Shot using the matching dies. I trimmed the little one down using my Ek Success Scissors so I was able to match the sentiments up.

I added a doily from my stash using Helmar Acid Free liquid adhesive.

I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using the same liquid adhesive.

Once the front of my card was complete I moved onto decorating the inside of my card using the same patterned papers.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - You are the sunshine to my flowers

Hi Everyone,

This super sweet image is from Whimsy Stamps May Release and is called Flowers For You.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer. I then coloured the image up using Copic Markers.

Once I had the image coloured up I trimmed it down to a more suitable size for my card.

I cut down some layers from Kaisercraft Bow & Arrow 6.5" Paper Pad, this is a really nice paper pad and was perfect for this card, lots of variety of patterned papers. I matted the patterned papers using Francheville Kraft Cardstock and American Crafts Cardstock.

I used the same patterned paper pad for the sentiment pop out and for the shaped pop outs on the side of the card.

I used Helmar Acid Free to adhere all the layers to a Couture Creations card base.

Once the front of the card was complete I used the same patterned paper pad to decorate the inside of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Ahoy Three

I am loving this new image from Whimsy Stamps called Ahoy Matey, and am excited to share another card with you that I have created using this image.

This is a Digital Stamp so I printed it onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer. Then coloured it up using Copic Markers.

I had fun layering up patterned papers from the Crate Paper Little Blue Boy paper pad, I also bannered some up using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

Within the paper pad there is a few sheets of these alphabets and numbers, I cut down the 3 Primary colours as I thought it would be a cute sentiment piece to add on.

I love the way this image coloured up :-)

I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card base using Helmar Acid Free.

I used leftovers of the patterned paper to decorate the inside of the card to match.

Whimsy Stamps - June Diva Tutorial - Colour With Deni

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing with you a real time video for Whimsy Stamps colouring up Iris from the Wee Stamps collection. The image is available is Digital format and also as a Rubber Stamp, I have both of them linked up at the bottom of this post in the picture links.

This is such a stunning image to colour up and I hope you will come and colour along with me (you can find the colouring video at the end of this post and a direct link if you prefer to watch directly on My You Tube Channel here.

I printed the image out onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer - Laser Printers are completely Copic Marker safe and will not allow for any bleeding of the image.

To assist in the real time colouring video I mapped out exactly what colours I was going to use and where I was going to use them on this image. Hopefully this Direct Link works to the download as I have never done this before.

I began with colouring the skin on the image, I used E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20 for this area of the image.

Moving on to the hair, I used E74, E77, E79, this is my favourite blend for darker hair tones. I worked the hair in chunks rather than doing a flicking motion, meaning I coloured up each of the sections one by one.

Next up I coloured the scarf, I wanted it to pop off the image a little but still blend so I decided to go with a brown combo - E31, E33, E35, E37.

I coloured the pants up as a denim type look so went with B33, B95, B97 and used R81, R83, R85 for the flowers on them as I was planning on using those pinks on the image elsewhere and that would help bring all the details together.

I continued using the pink blend from above - R81, R83, R85 and coloured up all the flowers on the image, this is my most used pink blend of markers and one of the first ever blends of markers I used.

Next I began colouring up her dress, I used some V Markers - V20, V22, V25, they give a nice lilac/mauve type tone and I used the pink markers above to colour the strap on her dress.

Moving on to her wings, I went with yellow and blue, I used Y21, Y23, Y26 to give a nice golden yellow rather than a bright yellow. For the blues I had originally planned to use 3 markers however I ended up only using 2 - the B01, B02, the section to colour was only small and when I started laying the colour down I realised it was going to be un-necessary to add the third marker into the mix.
I had planned to go back with my white gel pen and add the white dots back in however I completely forgot and did not do this - I will more than likely add these when I start putting my card together.

I used my 0 Colorless Blender marker to fix up any areas that need the colour pushed back in, then I used it to add some dotted detail to the wings.

Finally I used my Uni-Ball White Gel pen to add details to the image, this always makes an image look completed.

I thank you all so much for reading my post and I hope you will pop on over to my You Tube Channel and Watch the colouring process and colour along with me. Remember you don't have to use the same markers as me, they are there as a guideline only. Use what you have and make it you :-)

Deni x

**Edited, I finally got a chance to get this gorgeous girl onto a card :-) Here is the finished product.
