Mo's Digital Pencil - Future Rock Star

Hi Everyone,

A friend of our family and his wife are expecting there first baby in the next few weeks and I made them a crochet blanket, all I needed was a card to go with it.

I had already purchased this Digital Stamp months ago ready to make this card, reason being is because this image had jumped at me and I new it was perfect for my friend.

My friend is Guitar mad, and so this image was of course perfect, I even stalked his Insta trying to find photos of his guitar as I couldn't remember what it looked like :-) I wanted to get everything correct right down to the last detail.

I printed the image out onto X-Press It Blending Card using my Brother Laser Printer, then proceeded to colour the image up using Copic Markers.

I wanted to run the image through my Big Shot using Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, I knew it was not going to completely fit into the largest of the dies, so I placed the die over the top of the image and used a mechanical pencil to trace around the die, this way I could see exactly where the die was going to cut. I then used my EK Success Cutterbee scissors to fussy cut the left hand side of the guitar. I then erased the pencil lines. When I run the die through my Big Shot I slide the die underneath the part that I don't want cut off and run it through.

I used patterned papers from Crate Paper Little Boy Blue 6x6 Paper Pad, I still wanted to give the card a babyish feel to it. I matted the patterned papers using American Crafts Cardstock.

I also cut down the little H is for Horse Block, the baby is a little boy and his name is going to be Hudson so I was thought this would be a cute little addition. I used my Cutterbee Scissors to cut it out and banner the end of it.

The centre piece of card I ran through my Sizzix Big Shot using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die, I used the outside piece for the inside of my card.

I added Tonic Studio Nuvo Crystal Drops in Neon Blue Crush and Liquid Mercury, the blue is one of the Glow In The Dark line, can't wait to see it glowing in the babies room.

I am super excited for my friend to receive my little package of card and crochet baby blanket.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Slam Dunk

Welcome one and all,

Today I am working on a boy card, it doesn't happen too often but this one was an order from a friend for her son's 16th Birthday.

I absolutely love this image from Mo Manning called Slam Dunk and can't wait to create more cards with it.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do background wise but ended up walking into a Kaisercraft Shop and finding the Game On - Basketball Sticker Sheet on Clearance. I didn't use a lot of the stickers but was happy with what I have used.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Card Stock using my Brother Laser Printer, this is a Copic Safe printer so I don't get any bleeding with my Copic Markers.

I used American Crafts Cardstock for the black, I think the orange is from another company.

Everything was adhered to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Mo's Digital Pencil - 20th Wedding Anniversary

Hey Everyone,

A friend of mine commissioned me to make a 20th Wedding Anniversary card for her to give to her husband.

I really love this image from Mo Manning, it is not easy to find an Anniversary type of image but this one is perfect.

20th Wedding Anniversary is represented as Platinum so I have used Ranger Ink Platinum embossing powder to emboss the Wine Glasses which are from Your Next Stamp Mr and Mrs Stamp Set on the patterned paper and I also embossed a square on to a scrap piece of paper by just smooshing the embossing ink pad onto it. I then ran Lawn Fawn Quinn's 123's dies in the number 2 and 0 to create the 20 using that embossed piece.

I cut a piece of American Crafts Black Card Stock to create the bottom mat layer, I used some Bella Wedding (I think) paper for the background, which I then stamped over and embossed.

I ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die - I forgot to mention I traced the die out over my image before I cut it and fussy cut his legs and the bottom of her shoe, when I put the die back on slid it under those sections so as to not cut them when I ran the die through.

The Anniversary word is from Hero Arts - called Anniversary Fancy Die, I ran it through my Big Shot a few times so I could layer it up, I somehow lost every dot from the I when I did it but decided to layer some little hearts I had sitting on my desk to give the same about of dimension. The hearts are from Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch.

I stamped the sentiment from the Mr & Mrs Stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black and also embossed the rings from the same stamp set using Versamark Embossing Ink and the Platinum embossing powder. I really love the way the rings finished off the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Auzz Trinklets N Crafts DT - All About Men

Hi Everyone!

Hope all the men in your lives (and those acting as a mutual parent) had a great Father's Day last weekend. I worked all weekend but was able to have dinner with my Dad on Saturday night and celebrated my Fiance's Father's Day with socks and jocks on Sunday night lol. My kids both spent the day with their Dad.

This month over at Auzz Trinklets n Crafts we are celebrating "Men and boys", not just Father's but men in general.

I have created a card for a Dad using a Clear stamp from Penny Black and designed by Mo Manning called "Daddy's Shoes". I have loved this stamp for a while and was finally able to get Auzz Trinklets to track it down for me :-)

I die cut a Wonky Window from the My Favorite Things Peek A Boo Wonky Window Die, I wanted to keep the window in one piece so I carefully turned it over and used Scotch Magic Tape across the back. I cut this using Mondi Color Copy.. I was originally planning to stamp over the top and colour with Copic Markers but my idea didn't work out the way I thought it was going to so I had to rethink my design.

I stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Friendship Messages clear stamps using Memento Tuxedo Black onto the square inlay, I used the Misti Stamping tool to do this as it was already out on my desk.

I ended up stamping the image separately and carefully fussy cutting (using EK Success Cutterbee scissors) it out so I could attach it over the top of my Wonky Window. I stamped the image using Memento tuxedo black and coloured the image using Copic Markers (listed below)

I cut the DAD letters from Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC's and some scraps of Canson Cardstock using my Sizzix Big Shot.

Patterned papers are from Kaisercraft  On the Move Collection paper pad, all cut using Cutterpillar Pro.

Make it with scraps Friday - Auzz Trinklets N Krafts - Once Upon A Time...

Hi Everyone!!

It's time for Make it a card Friday!

Sorry it's been a little while since I have done any posting. U have some sad news to share.. Treasured Times Rubber Stamps has decided to close up shop so therefore the Design Team has also closed. They have a big sale on at the bottom to clear out the shop so make sure you check it out.

I have also decided to leave my position with My Besties Aussie, I think it is time I do some crafting for myself for a little while.
I will still be doing some of the posting and DT stuff I do with Auzz Trinklets but most of that is just for fun and I create to suit :-)

Anyway the past few days my head has been feeling a little clearer and I have been able to create for fun.

Today I have created a card using an image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Lil Ballerina, it is one of my favourite images.

I have coloured the image using Copic Markers, unfortunately I will not have those listed today as I coloured this image quite a while ago and it was added to my container of images. Sometimes I sit in bed and colour up in bulk while watching tv. I also always print a full page of images when using digital stamps to make use of my paper, so always have a few extras sitting around awaiting colouring.

You put the lady in ladybug

Hi Everyone,

My friend asked me to make her a card for her Daughter's 1st Birthday, she needed it to be ladybug themed, I sent her a few different image ideas and she loved this image from Mo Manning called Baby Fairy Ladybug. It's part of a set called 3 baby fairies.

I didn't have this image in my collection so had to purchase it for her. I thought I had better print a few extras to make cards with. So this one is not the one I made for my friend, I have not yet blogged that one (note to self inserted here lol) .

I actually ended up making 2 of the exact same card as I really loved it and cut a few extra pieces of patterned paper so thought why not..

The images are coloured using Copic Markers purchased from Craft-a-Lot and Craft Online.
You can purchase most of the products used on this card from Auzz Trinklets N Kraft. They also now have a blog, stop by and check it out :-)
