I believe.. in witches

Good Morning!

A couple of days ago I visited a few of my favourite digital stamp companies to download some new images.. I was on the hunt for Halloween images..

Here in Australia there is too many people who celebrate Halloween but I thought it would be nice to add some cards to my Angel Scrapbook & Party Goodies Facebook page anyway.

I bought this gorgeous witch stamp from Tiddly inks, it is called Spell on Ya, you can find it here, and it is even on sale at the moment!

I had a bit of a play 2 nights ago, it was very late though so I didn't get to finish colouring her. You can see here that I have done her dress, pants shoes and hat. I am not too good at doing pleats on dresses yet, so please be lenient on me lol.

There is a few new blends in there too. I haven't used this purple combo before, it needed a bit more blending then I normally do but it turned out really well.

This is as far as I got on Wednesday night as I had to go and pick up hubby and youngest from the train station, they drove to another state (12hrs drive) the day before to deliver a car and then flew home Thursday.

Was such a hard couple of days, my youngest hadn't ever slept away from me so I was really struggling. Hubby had also not had a night away from me since we had youngest.  What a quiet house it was with only 9 year old here.

In the next pic you will see the image all coloured up, I used a new skin combo on this one, it shows up a little brighter in this pic, but I just think that's from the camera, it doesn't look this bright on my card. I have also used my Spica Glitter pen on a few parts on her but it doesn't show up in any of the pics that I have taken. I have also finished her hair and wand. I have also done the little dots around the outside of the image (not that I can remember what the technical term is).

I then started working on putting my card together, I found this stamp whilst cleaning all my stamps up and thought it would be perfect. These gorgeous flowers are from a Kaisercraft pack that my friend Hollie from Little Goldfish Invitations and Stationary gave me for my birthday this year.

Here is a close up of the image, I am really impressed with my blending on this image, especially with the black as I even kept it within the lines, sometimes it bleeds a bit much if you have too much saturation.

This last image is the inside of the card, pretty simple but looks great :-)

Baby Arrival :-)

Remember the baby shower invites and games I made for my friend who was having a baby? She had her baby 2 nights ago, a beautiful baby girl :-) How exciting!

I haven't been to visit yet as I really don't do hospitals. Was hard enough going in after my Mum's breast cancer operation.

Anyway, it was a healthy baby girl weighing 8 pound 4, her name is Madeleine, from the photos I have seen she is a gorgeous little girl. And proud big sister Evelyn is doing an awesome job :-)

Anyway that's my baby post for today, I will be back shortly with a card update.

Dreamtime Designs Blog Candy

Hello all :-) just a quick stop in today.
It was a beautiful warm day today, til tonight, it started raining lol.

Busy busy day here, did a few loads of washing this morning, then off to do groceries and fruit and vege shopping (I normally love it but so sick of buying nothing and spending lots). Then grabbed a bite to eat with mum and my youngest. Home to clean up the backyard of doggy use and clean up the gardens a bit. Such a fun job, but unfortunately my hubby works a lot of hours so its either I do it or it won't get done.

A lovely lady Lisa left some really nice comments in my blog today, so in return I stopped by one of her blogs, over there they are giving away some blog candy, worth a stop by, she does some beautiful work.

Hello :-) it has been a week of sickness here and surprisingly I have not done any crafting for a whole week. I haven't been this sick in a long time!

It has so far skipped the kids but hit hubby last night :-(

Butterfly Besties

Hello!

It is a really cold night here in NSW, Australia where I live, we should probably have the gas heater on, but we had a few days of really warm weather so I thought the cold was finished and packed all the heater away :-P it takes up space in my craft part of the loungeroom and we can't have that happening. As soon as it warms up its gone lol.

Anyway, tonight I was lucky enough to find some time to make a card to meet the requirements for 2 challenges, using a Besties image from Sherri Baldy of Scrapbook Stamp Society, the image I have used is Img 708, you can find the image here .

Thankyou for looking after us

To all my lovely followers,

Yes it is me, I have dusted off the cobwebs and am ready to get back into my blogging, my apologies, things have been pretty hectic here!

My post today is a card I made for my Sister In Law to give her parents to say thankyou to them for looking after their dogs while they were away on holidays to New Zealand.

I had so much fun working with this image, and absolutely love these little Images from Digi Stamp Boutique , The image is called Murphy Set 1 the image is actually of one dog, but my Brother and Sister In Law have 2 sisters, so I went into Microsoft word and duplicated it and joined them together before printing. Pretty clever if I do say so myself :-)
Both My Sister in Law and her Mum and Dad absolutely loved this card :-)

I am entering this card into a challenge on the Digi Stamp Boutique Blog for September, subject is Anything Goes.

I was playing with different methods of doing the tree here, something different for me as I don't normally colour images with trees and stuff lol. I used a method from Alyce @ Kit and Clowder who is absolutely amazing
(Sorry for the sideways pic, doesn't matter how many times I turn it around and I load it won't show turned)

I have coloured the image on this card using Copic Markers Purchased from Craft a Lot and from Forever Markers and the cardstock was inked up using Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. I can't give you my copic list on this one as I was in a hurry and forgot to write them all down :-(

I will be posting another card today also using an image from Digi Stamp Boutique

Be back later with that one.
