Let's Have A Sleepover - SSS Slumber Party

Hi Everyone

Just a quick. card post for you today as this one was made quite a while ago..

I used an old stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Slumber Party, unfortunately it is no longer available to purchase so I won't have any links for you on this one.

I stamped the image out onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then I fussy cut her using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

The patterned papers are from an old 6x6 Paper Pad from Hampton Art Called Celebrate. I used a few full sheets and also cut down some leftovers to create strips for the left side of my card.

Using a Star Confetti Punch from EK Success I used leftovers of the same paper pad to punch out some stars.

  

I added a doily on top of my patterned papers using Helmar Acid Free liquid Adhesive.

Using an old MFT Stamps die - Happy Trio, I ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot just using some leftovers of the reverse of the patterned paper. I'm unsure as to where the Birthday word sentiment came from as it was something I had stamped out in my tray on my desk.

I added some wink of Stella to my image and she was complete.

Lastly I adhered all my layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Helmar Acid Free, I also decorated the inside of the card using leftovers of the same patterned paper pad.

All Dressed up for her 18th plus an extra

Hi Everyone,

A couple of months ago a friend asked me to make her daughter an 18th card, I wasn't entirely happy with the first card I made so I redone it. I ended up just this week pulling apart the first card and using the image on another card.

This is the second card I made for the customer.

This is today's card with the re-used image.

I used an EK Success punch and some of the leftovers paper to punch out some stars.

Using Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops in Silver Moondust to finish off the embellishments.

I really am happy now with the way both of the cards have turned out.

Whimsy Stamps - You're My Penguin Hero

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a fantastic week, I have been busy putting in extra hours at my "normal job" so haven't been around much.. my apologies.

Today I am sharing with you a card I have made for Whimsy Stamps using Penguin Super Hero, he is available in both Rubber and Digital - I will have both versions linked up below for you.

I actually coloured this image up a while ago but had not had a chance to get him onto a card so the New Release was the perfect time to showcase him again. He is on X-Press It Blending Card Stock ready for Copic Colouring.

I fussy cut the image out once I had him ready to go using my EK Success Cutterbee scissors, these scissors are seriously amazing, so if you are after a super sharp super pointy pair of fussy cutting scissors these guys are your go to.

I used MFT Stamps Star Stax dies, I used some washi tape to adhere two of them together so I was able to cut out a frame using some black American Crafts Cardstock, I then ran the smallest star back through using some of the coloured paper from the Hampton Art Celebrate Patterned Paper Pad using my Sizzix Big Shot.

I cut a red piece for matting from the same  patterned paper pad and then a pice of the dot/star pattern. I adhered those two layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Glue Dots Permanent Glue Squares Tape Runner.

I used some washi tape to adhered the star frame and the green insert piece together before I adhered them to my card, just to make sure that they were lined up perfectly.

I used Mama Elephant Congrats Die and ran it through my Big Shot using an orange piece of scrap from the same patterned paper pad (all the sheets have a plain side and a patterned side). I then decided it needed to pop off my card more.. I don't have a frame word die for this one so I traced the outside of the die onto some X-Press It Blending Card using a mechanical pencil then using my Cutterbee Scissors I fussy cut it out then carefully used an eraser to take away all the pencil lines. I then using American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive I adhered the two layers together. I adhered it to the star using the same liquid adhesive.

I trimmed the two sentiments down (they came from the rubber stamp) and adhered those and the image to my card using American Crafts foam dots.

Finally I added some Wink Of Stella to the image and the star and it was complete.

Art Impressions - Girlfriends Celebrate with Giant Cake

I've been a busy little bee pumping out cards lately, which is fantastic, I love these kind of crafty weeks.

For my card today I am using Art Impressions Girlfriends Series - Giant Cake, I love this stamp - I remember when Amy Rysavy used it in one of her videos and I had to have it - then I hoarded it til now hahah.

I stamped the image using my Misti Stamping Tool (with the black foam mat removed) and some Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card - this is my go to card stock for Copic Markers.

I coloured the image in then cut it down to size using my Cutterpillar Pro.

The patterned papers are from Hampton Art Celebrate 6x6 Paper Pad I cut them down to size and used adhered them all to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.

I added a doily on top then layered the image over that just using the ATG again. Once I was done I added some Wink Of Stella to the candles and my card was complete.

It's Time For Tea and Cupcakes - Time For Tea Designs

It's always Time For Tea and Cupcakes :-)

Here is my card for this week for Time For Tea Designs using "Birthday Cupcakes" which is a Rubber Stamp in their collection.

I stamped the image out onto Mondi Color Copy 250GSM using Memento Tuxedo Black and Fiskars Stamp Press   I then coloured her up using  Copic Markers and fussy cut her using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

I grabbed some papers from Hampton Art Celebrate Paper Pad 6x6 Paper Pad which seemed to match the colours i had used to colour her up. I cut a mat layer of the plain purple, then an inlayed layer from the banners. I cut a small square for the centre (which I actually off centred to suit the layout), I ran this last small square through my Sizzix Big Shot using MFT Stitched Square Stax

I grabbed a doily from my stash, then cut a circle using MFT Stitched Circle using the same Mondi Color Copy 250GSM that I used to stamp the image on. I ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot.

I adhered all the layers down using Scotch ATG  the doily and the image I adhered using American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive .

I used my Cutterpillar Pro Pro to cut all the layers.

I grabbed some die cuts off my desk that were left over from other projects - stars and the smile word die cut and adhered them to the front of my card. The sentiment is from MFT Splendid Swans, I used a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block and Memento Tuxedo Black  ink to stamp it out onto a piece of leftover Aqua cardstock from the patterned paper pad.

I adhered the sentiment using Scotch ATG  I then grabbed some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White. I also added some Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush .

Whimsy Stamps - Make A Wish

Hey all

Today I am inspiring you all with a card created for Whimsy Stamps Using Make A Wish. I coloured the image up using Copic Markers.





Patterned papers are from a 6x6 Paper Pad from Hampton Art- Ki Memories (Janet Dunn) called Celebrate. Plain card stock is from Kmart or American Crafts. Everything was cut on my Cutterpillar Pro and adhered using Scotch ATG.

I printed the images onto Mondi Color Copy 250GSM using my Brother Laser Printer.

I also cut some stars from the same plain card stock using Paper Smooches Teeny Stars Dies. I then adhered these to my card using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

All the layers were adhered using Scotch ATG, I then popped all the layers onto a Twiddleybitz Card Base.

Lastly I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black. I then left these overnight to dry (I have a habit of messing them up while they are still wet lol).

A very sad card :-(

Approximately 6 weeks ago, our neighbour (and also one of my sons preschool teachers), her husband was diagnosed with cancer, it was a very aggressive cancer, and unfortunately even though he gave a hell of a fight.. he lost his life on Tuesday night :-(

I made a card to give to his family, a beautiful lady, and 2 young daughters in their early 20s.. such a hard card to make, even worse when you know the people you are making it for :-(
