Auzz Trinklets N Krafts - October - Halloween Colours.. I miss your face

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to October, this month the Design Team are playing with Halloween Colours on the blog.
Since a lot of us in Australia don't celebrate Halloween we thought why not just go with the colours.. so doesn't have to be anything halloweeny as such.

I couldn't help myself but create a Halloween Card since i love making them :-) But since i don't usually sell a lot of them i decided to make it into a card to send to one of my friends.. i thought shed get a kick out of it.

I have used a few different My Favorite Things stamp sets on this card as i had a few bits and bobs already cut on my desk. My main inspiration image for this card came from the Frightful Friends (2016 halloween release). Everything else sort of fell together around the card.

The images are all coloured using Copic Markers.. i do not have a list this time around as all the images were leftovers from previous cards. As always they were stamped on Mondi Color Copy using Memento Tuxedo Black. (You can use x-press it or nena or whatever you preferred cardstock for colouring is)

Flying Dragons - Auzz Trinklets September DT - Boys Will Be Boys

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I have a card to share with you for Auzz Trinklets N Krafts. Our theme for September is "Boys will be Boys".

I have just received a haul from Auzz Trinklets of craft goodies and within that box was the new dragon stamp set from My Favorite Things called Magical Dragons and the matching dies.

I have created a birthday card using this stamp set which i am totally in love with already, MFT Stamps always stamp beautiful first go which is always nice for us stampers.. it means  no stamp prepping needed.

Also in this box of goodies was the Simply Circles Background stamp from MFT.

I started by using the stitched squares die from MFT Blueprints 14 to cut a square from Mondi Color Copy, i then used my the Simply Circles Background stamp to stamp straight onto that square using Lawn Fawn Fish Tank blue ink. I didn't need to adhere the stamp to my block, i just layed it onto my desk and popped the stitched square onto it with a piece of scrap paper over the top, i then carefully rubbed over the whole thing to make sure it was stamped clearly.

Then i used the plain square die also from the Blueprints 14 set to cut another square using Mondi Color Copy. I then used the Puffy Clouds dies from Lawn Fawn to cut some cloud layers, i did it this way as to not add a whole heap of extra thickness onto my card.
I then used a round blending tool from Ranger and Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass ink to give some colour to the clouds.

Next i grabbed the Magical Dragons stamp set and stamped out all the images on Mondi Color Copy as i was unsure yet of what i was going to do, or what images i was going to use. I then remembered seeing on pinterest (possibly) where someone had used a cake stamp to make it look like the dragon was blowing out the candles. So i thought id try to create something along those lines.
I also stamped out the little cake from the MFT Birthday Bears stamp set and cut it using the matching dies. (These are actually a solid die so I cut first then stamped)

I coloured all the images using Copic Markers (listed below), my youngest helped me with the decisions of colours :-)
I then adhered all the images down using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

Once everything was done i then adhered my layout to a card base from Twiddleybitz using my Scotch ATG and added my business label to the back of the card. (I created these myself and i now do print and cut on my silhouette).

I used my Misti Stamping Tool to stamp all my Dragon images, i then used my Lawn Fawn Acrylic blocks to stamp the sentiment and cake as they were sitting in front of me at the time.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

(I forgot to mention i messed up the sentiment so had to then re-stamp it onto a Lawn Fawn banner die cut to cover it up lol..this is why i should never stamp straight onto my layout).

Time For Tea September Challenge - Fall Into Layers

Hi Lovely Followers!

I missed this post not going up on my blog a few days ago.. not sure how that happened but anyway it didn't go live.

So here goes :-)

The current challenge over at Time For Tea Designs is 'Fall into Layers", I had actually already created my card for this month in advance but i ended up adding it onto my blog hop post so i'm sharing it with you again incase u missed it.. and why not i loved it lol. I have used the gorgeous Sunflower Girl.

I have used a doily from Kaisercraft and a labels die from Spellbinders. I can't find the paper pack i used on this one, could possibly be one that i had finished this week.. that doesn't happen too often because i have so many but i have been challenging myself to use one pad for a few different cards.

You can check out the challenge post on the time For Tea Challenge Blog here.

The gorgeous image is from the new August releases, so come and check them out at Time For Tea Designs.
