Treat them or Trick Them - Whimsy Stamps

Good Morning All,

It's a new month which means a new Challenge over at Whimsy Stamps this month.

For my New Release project I have chosen to work with Penguin Trick Or Treaters, totally loving this  image and had a great time putting this card together.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Card and ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die. I coloured the image up using Copic Markers then used some Uni-Ball white gel pen to add some details to the image.

I used my brand new EK Success Confetti Stars punch and some American Crafts black card stock to punch out some stars.

The patterned papers are from DCWV Spooky Halloween, I used plain card stocks from American Crafts and Kmart.

I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG, the image was also adhered the same, for the stars I used American Tombow Mono Multi.

Once all the card was complete I added some Wink Of Stella Clear to the image.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Papercraft Challenge DT - Whimsy Stamps - Penguin Life's A Beach

Hi Everyone,

I am super excited to share with you all that I have joined a new team, as of August I am now part of the Papercraft Business Challenge Design Team. You can check the Blog out here and there is a Facebook group here where you can chat with the Design Team and all the other members of the group.

Before I get started on my post I wanted to let you all know that they have released a Papercrafter's Dream Planner, this planner has everything you need to organise your papercrafting life - from planning out each project to keeping track of what's on when.  You can purchase the Digital File here, I will also have the picture links below.

Now let's get started on my first card share :-)

I used the Penguin Life's a Beach stamp set that I recently purchase from Scrap Dragon here in Australia, you can also purchase the stamp set directly from Whimsy Stamps here.

The theme for this month over on the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog is "Use A Circle", so I have used Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles on my card.

My card was a little all over the shop to start with whilst I was trying to put what was in my head into the project..

This is the original plan.. Slight Change is the Copic Markers which I switched out with my Faber Castell Polychromos.

I layed my stamps out onto a Couture Creations Card Base so I knew the placement I was going for, I then used a Mechanical Pencil to trace out the circle die this way I knew where they were going to cut.

I was happy with the placement so I ran the dies on the card base through my Sizzix Big Shot.

I used some Ink On 3 Black Out Detail Ink and a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block to stamp out the images onto the inside of the card so that you could see them through the circle cut outs on the front of the card. I really just eyeballed these as I was stamping them out to make sure the placement was just right.

My original plan was actually to Copic Colour these images up and then stick them to the inside of the card but as my head and my actual production didn't match up and I ended up stamping them directly onto the card I decided to colour the images using Faber Castell Polychromos.

I will have all the pencils I used listed below so you can check them out and if you would like to re-create my project you are more than welcome - just remember to please link back to me as your inspiration :-)

Once I had all the images coloured up I went back to the front of the card. I wanted to add some more circles to my card so I used some papers from Party with Amy Locurto - Poolside Collection from Pebbles Inc, I always keep all my small leftover bits inside my paper pad so these were perfect to use for cutting these little circles. I used the same Stitched Circle die set from Lawn Fawn to cut these out and ran them through my Big Shot.

I adhered them to my card base using some American Tombow Mono Multi, I also use the sentiment "What's Up Dude" from the Stamp set onto the front of the card using Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block and just some Memento Tuxedo Black as I had that sitting on my desk from another project.

I really love the way my card turned out even though it was not what I had planned, sometimes these are the best cards :-).

Dont forget to check out the Papercraft Business Challenge Blog Here to see all the other Design Team Projects and how we have all "Used A Circle" In Different ways on our projects.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Happy Craft Challenge - Fabrika Fantasy - Happy Mouse

Good Morning Everyone,

I have joined a new team to begin August, something a little different for me but I am really excited about - The Happy Craft Challenge.

Each month they have a Sketch - for me I am on the Card Team so I am using the corresponding sketch for those projects. Not only do they have a sketch but they also have a mood board. I didn't go with the mood board for this project as I knew what I wanted to create once we were give the sponsor the image.

Check Out the Blog here to see all the other Fantastic Projects from the Design  Team.

Sponsor Image - Happy Mouse Fabric Fantasy                Card Sketch - August 2019

Check out the Fabrika Fantasy Shop here to see all the other awesome images they create.

Here is my completed card

Using my Brother Laser Printer I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock as it is a Digital Image. I then coloured it up using Copic Markers and added some details using Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen.

I ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die, I ended up having to cut it a second time with a smaller circle as it was still too big for my project.

I used patterned papers from Pebbles Inc Spring Fling, I used the polka dots and the hexagons. The Thank you sentiment is also from the same patterned paper pad.

I trimmed the polka dots paper down using my Tim Holtz Guillotine, I turned the paper sideways so I could cut the angle on the paper, the hexagon piece was a leftover piece so all I had to do was banner the end using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

I used American Craft Foam Dots to adhered the image to the patterned papers, all the papers I adhered to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.

Once I had all my layers sorted I added some Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dark Walnut, Oyster Gray and Metallic Caramel Cream.

I trimmed the Thankyou piece down and cut on the bannered lines using my scissors.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Penguin Wat's Up

Hi All :-)

Today I am sharing with you a card I created using Whimsy Stamps Penguin Life's a Beach Stamp Set that I purchased last week.

I used patterned papers from Kaisercraft Garage Days 6.5" Paper Pad, I used the tyre paper and the Checkerplate Paper and a shield sentiment from another page in the pad.

I cut the tyre paper down to fit my card using my Cutterpillar Pro, the checkers-late was a leftover piece from another project, I bannered it using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

I ran some American Crafts Black Card Stock through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die. I used my mechanical pencil and a T Square Ruler to sketch in the road lines, I will go over them later with a white gel pen.

I cut the sentiment from the paper pad then carefully fussy cut it using my Cutterbee scissors, I then ran some more black card stock through my Big Shot using a smaller stitched circle die. I then adhered the sentiment using American Tombow.

I cut down some blue, some white and some black card stock and adhered those and the patterned paper to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.

I added some foam dots to the small circle die cut and the image to pop them up on my card, I adhered the What's Up sentiment on top using Scotch ATG.

I used my T Square Ruler and a white gel pen to go over the road lines and my card is complete.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Mr Gullible

Hi Everyone,

We are entering into Week 3 of New Releases for Whimsy Stamps and I am so excited to share with you my card today. I have used Mr Gullible, he is from the Ahoy Matey Digital Set.

I printed him out onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer.

I coloured the image up using Copic Markers, then trimmed it down using my Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer.

I added a doily underneath my image then decided to slide some Cheesecloth underneath the image. I'm unsure as to where the patterned paper came from, it must have been the last sheet from a paper pad and i'm sure I was hoarding it just for this card haha, I really love it and it finished my card perfectly.

I adhered all the layers using Scotch ATG.

I added some Puffy Clouds from MFT Stamps to the top right hand corner. my card was still not finished and I remembered I had these little nautical dies in my stash somewhere. I used MFT Stamps Sea Charms and ran them through my Sizzix Big Shot just using some leftover yardsticks from my stash. I inked the ship's wheel using Vintage Photo, it just gave it a little more antiqueness.

I adhered the little die cut elements using Scotch ATG then added some details using the Uni-Ball white gel pen.

I also used the gel pen to add some details to the image to finish it off then I decorated the inside using some leftovers of the patterned card stock.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Loving Care because Cancer Sux

Today I am sharing with you another card I made for Whimsy Stamps using Cancer Sux and Caregiver Hugs. We are showcasing these stamp sets over at Whimsy Stamps at the moment so make sure you head over and check out all the Design Team projects.

I have stamped the images and sentiment onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock, I then ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Dies.

I coloured the image up using Copic Markers and added some details using Uni-Ball White Gel Pen and finally used some Wink Of Stella to bling it up a little.

Using patterned papers from Crate Paper Love Notes 6x6 Paper Pad, I ran the heart paper through my Big Shot using the same Circle Dies, I cut down a few other pieces of the patterned papers and used a leftover piece of pink card stock from another project to create a strip and used my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors to banner it up.

I punched a EK Success Hope Ribbon using an old punch of mine (I have listed another one below however it is a bigger size) and some of the patterned paper.

I finally adhered everything to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).
