Thankyou Gift Tags - Gerda Steiner and MFT Stamps

Good Morning All,

Today I would like to share with you the next lot of Gift Tags I have created for my card order customers, I always like to send out a Thankyou Tag with a Business Card.

For my tags today I purchased these little tags of eBay in Kraft Card, they were a little smaller than I was thinking but they ended up being perfect for the stamp sets I have chosen.

The stamp sets I have used today are MFT Stamps Deck The Howls - I used one of the little dogs, Gerda Steiner on the Bookshelf - I used the kitty and finally I used the Gerda Steiner Hedgehog with Sign Stamp Set as the Thankyou Sentiment was perfect to fit under my Kitties.

I used my Misti Stamping Tool to stamp all the images onto the Tags then I used my Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block to stamp out the sentiments.

I coloured all the Tags up using Prismacolor Pencils then I used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic and a Uni-Ball White Signo Gel pen to finish them off.

I really love the way they turned out and am starting to love my pencils again, I have never really given them much of a chance so this makes me really happy.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Ahoy Matey Set - Long Legged Life Guard

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe it is July! This is crazy. It also means it's New Release week over at Whimsy Stamps and the Digital Team have some fantastic creations to share with you.

Today I am sharing with you Long Legged Life Guard, he is from the Ahoy Matey Set.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer then coloured him up using Copic Markers and also grounded him with the same Copics.

I wanted to run the image through my Big Shot using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die, to do that though I knew his hat would get chopped off so I had to fussy cut the top so I was able to pop it out of the die before I ran it through.

I used a Uni-Ball White Gel Pen to add some details to the image.

I used an old retired Whimsy Stamp Set for the sentiment - To The Beach, I stamped it out on some leftover X-Press It Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black, I then adhered it to some vellum and fussy cut it using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

Patterned papers are from Pebbles Inc Poolside - Party with Amy Locurto, the sun came from the same paper I just fussy cut it out.

I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG then added some Wink Of Stella Clear and he was complete.

Hope you guys love the New Release and I can't wait to share more with you as we get through the weeks :-)

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

MFT Stamps - Cute Chemists

Hi Everyone,

Well this is the second card I have made using the MFT Stamps Cute Chemists, as with the last card I stamped the images out onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Lawn Fawn Acrylic Blocks and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped out the cloud of smoke inbetween the characters.

I coloured the images up using Copic Markers. I added some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to both the glasses to give them the glassy effect.

I stamped out the sentiment from the same stamp set "You Make My Heart Go Boom" using Ink on 3 Embossing Ink and Ranger Ink Super Fine White Embossing Powder, I melted this using my Heat Gun onto American Crafts Cardstock, I then trimmed it down and bannered the end.

I used a white gel pen to add a few details to the images.

The patterned papers are from a Kmart Paper Pad, I cut them down using my Cutterpillar Pro and adhered them all using Scotch ATG to a Couture Creations Card Base.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Daphne's Tea Party

Hi Everyone,

Super excited to be finishing the month with my last June New Release from Whimsy Stamps, this is Daphne's Tea Party party fro Sylvia Zet.

I printed the image up with my Brother Laser Printer onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock.

This was a pretty simple layout card for me as I didn't want to take away the beautifulness of the image (is that even a word haha).

I decided to add one layer of patterned paper and match my Copics to that.

Using patterned paper from Pebbles Inc Spring Fling and a Lawn Fawn Stitched Square Die I ran the paper and the die through my Sizzix Big Shot to cut the patterned layer.

I matched my Copic Markers up to my patterned paper and coloured the image up, I added details to the image using Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen.

Gerda Steiner Hedgehog Gift Tags

Yesterday my son and I were busy preparing the next round of Gift Tags to go out with my card orders.

I purchased some pre-made Parcel Tags from Kmart, they come in a variety of styles but I really wanted to try out colouring with my Prismacolor Pencils on Kraft card stock.

We stamped the images out using Memento Tuxedo Black, to start with we were using Lawn Fawn Acrylic blocks then realised for us to bulk batch them it would be a lot quicker to use the Misti.

I coloured the images up using my Prismacolor Pencils then went back in and stamped the Thank You onto the Signs.

Finally using a Uni-Ball Signo White Gel Pen I added some details to the images, I then used some twine to thread through the top of the tags.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

MFT Stamps - Penguins In Paradise

I am so excited to share with you my first 1 layer card, Lots of masking and hard work went into this one, and I won't be doing it anytime soon haha.

On all seriousness it was really great to do this card as I have wanted to do one for a while.

I started by preparing my X-Press It Blending Cardstock and laying out all my stamps to work out what I was going to do. I then cut down a piece of scrap paper around the same size and I stamped everything out using a Lawn Fawn acrylic block. I put my X-Press it Blending card into my Misti Stamping Tool and layed the piece of scrap that I stamped on in over the top of the Blending Card.

I looked at the scrap piece of stamping and worked out what needed to be stamped first, everything that is at the front needs to be stamped first, you then mask those off and stamp the next layer back.

So first of all I knew that the three penguins and the ball all needed to be stamped out first. I then worked out what I would need to create masks for to do the rest of my stamping. I knew I wanted the trees behind the penguins so I would need to create masks for all the penguins, thinking ahead I also realised I would need masks for the trees and the ball so I would be able to ink over the top of them to create my background.

I stamped the images that would need masks out onto another piece of scrap paper and used my EK Success Cutterbee scissors to fussy cut (right on the line) all of the images. I then used American Tombow Mono Multi to add adhesive to the backs. With Mono Multi it is permanent straight away and temporary if you leave it to dry.

With the masks for the trees I actually stamped those onto some post it notes because I realised I would need two, I left two post it notes stuck together and fussy cut them at the same time. I then added some more Mono Multi to the bottoms of those so I could completely adhered and create masks from them.

I stamped all my images out onto my X-Press It Blending Card, I left the masks on all the images then used another piece of scrap copy paper to tear and create a mask and give the separation between water and sand for my background.

I layed the mask down and inked up the sky first using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks, I then removed the mask from the background and blended the sand, I used Antique Linen and Tea Dye for this, with the Tea Dye I didn't blend it more just pounced it on to create the texture of the sand.

Finally I removed all the masks using my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors, I love the point of my scissors it allows me to carefully pull the masks up.

I coloured the images up using Copic Markers, careful not to touch the Distress Ink too much with my Copic tips. I added some details using Uni-Ball White Gel Pen.

I stamped the sentiment out onto the layout using Memento Tuxedo Black. I decided at this stage to cut my project down and add some layers behind it just using some plain card stocks from my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - PC Curly

It's my Whimsy Stamps share day today and I am so excited to share with you PC Curly from the Digi Collection.

I love this little guy, he reminds me of my youngest step son haha.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer then coloured him up using Copic Markers. I added some details to the image using a White Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen and added some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to his goggles.

For the base of the card I cut some layers of plain cardstock from my stash and some patterned papers from American Crafts #Summer paper pad.

I ran two Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Twenty-Two dies through my Sizzix Big Shot, I actually taped them together using washiest Tape so I could cut them from the same cardstock.

I cut some bits and pieces from the same paper pad including the sentiment using my Cutterpillar Pro and by EK Success Cutterbee Scissors. All of the adhering was done with Scotch ATG and Tombow Mono Multi.

Finally I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).
