Time For Tea Designs - Mew Are Awesome

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing with you a card made for Time For Tea Designs using an image from the Mew Are Awesome Stamp Set.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Card using Brother Laser Printer and coloured him up using Copic Markers.

I fussy cut the image out using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors, I don't have the dies but I really love fussy cutting so I probably would have cut them by hand anyway.

I used patterned paper from Head Over Heels paper pad, I love the paper planes background paper and broke it up using some of the blue flowers.

Using a MFT Stamps Cloud die I ran some excess white card stock through my Sizzix Big Shot and adhered them to the patterned paper using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

I adhered the patterned papers to some American Crafts Cardstock then adhered it to a Couture Creations Cardbase.

Finally I stamped out the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black and trimmed it on my trimmer then bannered it using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Little Leprechaun

As St Patrick's day creeps upon us we at Whimsy Stamps have started to showcase some of the gorgeous St Pat's Day Digi Stamps.

Today I am sharing with you Little Leprechaun, isn't he a little cutie with his tiny little butterfly friend :-)

I had fun colouring him up using Copic Markers after I had printed him onto X-Press It Blending Card stock using my Brother Laser Printer.

I used papers from Pebbles Amy Locurto - Rainbow Collection 6x6 for my base clouds and for the leaves banner piece, I cut the banner piece using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors. I also trimmed one of the strips off the top of the paper pad with the butterfly down to use at the top of my card.

I ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die.

Using an old Martha Stewart punch - the Four Leaf Clover I punched some out of some leftover Blending Cardstock and used my Copic Markers to ink it up to the colour I wanted. I added some Wink of Stella Clear to the punch out and to some parts of the Leprechaun.

I cut a layer using American Crafts Card Stock and used Scotch ATG to adhere everything.
I added all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base. Finally I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Woodland Green to add some detail to my card.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Lend Me Your Ear

As we continue to share the March New Releases for Whimsy Stamps I give you Lend Me Your Ear, such an adorable stamp. I knew when I seen this card I wanted to make a Sympathy Card.

I decided to create my own sentiment "Always Here to Lend You An Ear" using MS Word, such a simple way of personalising a card or adding a special sentiment to a card. I printed the image and the sentiment onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer.

I began by colouring up the image using Copic Markers, I will have these listed in the picture links below.

I used patterned papers from Basic Grey's Mint Julep 6x6, unfortunately this is an older paper pad so I am not able to link up.

I ran the image through my Sizzix Big Shot using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die.

The sentiment I cut out using an MFT Stamps Stitched Sentiment Die, I used some washi tape to keep the die in place whilst I ran it through my Big Shot.. I didn't want it to move while I ran it through.

I cut some mat layers from Francheville Kraft and some American Crafts white card stock.

Finally I adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

How To Create A Tassel - With a Video

Good Morning,

On my You Tube Channel Today I teach you how I create a bookmark tassel. (Sorry I didn't take any pics along the way please pop over and watch the video on my You Tube Channel.

I cut a piece of thick card that I had received in the mail as some packaging. the cardboard should be double the size that you are wanting the length of the tassel to be (head to tail).

Fold the cardstock in half and use your bone folder to create a crease and make it nice and flat.

Holding the cardstock so that the open end is at the bottom, you will then wrap some twine/cotton/wool or whatever it is that you would like your tassel made out of, you will keep wrapping around until it is the thickness you desire.

Cut another piece of twine approx 15cm long, fold it in half and slide it into the cardstock under the top layer of twine (near the top of the cardstock), tie it into a tight knot (this will create the loop for the top of your tassel).

Using the last bit of twine that has been wrapped (still attached to your ball) leave this piece approx 10cm long, we will use this piece shortly (do not trim in next step)

Holding the above piece off to the side and do not cut it shorter.. You will then carefully slide your scissors under the top layer of twine where the cardstock is open and cut through holding the front and back of all the twines.

Using the long piece we left from above wrap it around the top of the tassel creating a "head"on the tassel, tie it into a knot and carefully push the knot underneath the wrapping so that you cannot see it. Use your fingers to tidy up the tassel then use your scissors to trim and tidy up the bottom strings of the tassel.

Time For Tea Designs Emily and Ernie Blue Jean

Hi Everyone,

Today I am here sharing a card with you for Time For Tea Designs, this is one of the new February releases ready for the new website.

You Can check out the new website here, lots of images to go up from the old site, some have unfortunately been retired but onwards and upwards from here.

This new image is called Emily and Ernie.

Check out the monthly challenge at Time For Tea Designs Community Page we would love for you to join in, it is an Anything Goes Challenge so no theme required.

There is currently still a freebie in the group to help get you started with time For Tea Designs images.

I printed my image out onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock, this is created specifically for Copic Markers.

I coloured the image up using Copic Markers, I will have these listed below. You can watch all the colouring in my You Tube Video which I also have linked below.

Papers are from American Crafts #Summer 6x6 Paper Pad, I cut them up using Cutterpillar Pro, I used some plain cardstock from Kmart, just some older stuff I had sitting around. I then adhered all the layers to a Couture Creations Card Base using Scotch ATG.

I used some of the thin strips from the top of the paper pad to create some banners for the top of the card and I used a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to adhere them to the card. I stamped a sentiment from Gerda Steiner Turtley Great Stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black and a Lawn Fawn Acrylic Block.

Once I was done I decorate the inside of the card to match.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Time For Tea Designs - Beats Bella Blue Jeans

So crazy, its mid month already! It does mean there is a new release over at Time For Tea Designs though, we have a brand new challenge and brand new images ready on the new website.

I will have all the links below in the clickable links for you to check everything out.

But for now, let me introduce you to Beats Bella, she is one of the new Feb releases.

I printed the image onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock and coloured her up using Copic Markers, I am totally in love with this new image and was super excited to actually make two cards. I decided to share just one at a time so let's get started with this one.

I also have a video for you to watch with the Copic Colouring. I do apologise in advance I was so excited to be colouring her up that some of it is off screen, I have tried to speed those sections up so that you aren't watching too much of an empty desk.

Once I had the image coloured up I used my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors to fussy cut her out, I do have some of the fancy machines but fussy cutting I enjoy.

Using an MFT Stamps rounded square frame die I cut out some plain white cardstock, then ran it through again with some of the patterned paper. I used the leftover pieces on the other card that I made so nothing went to waste.

The patterned papers are from Pebbles Amy Locurto Poolside. I have a couple of these paper pads and they are all on their last sheets. I try to keep all my offcuts and put them back into the pad also.

I added another sheet of the patterned paper then adhered them to a Couture Creations Card Base.

When I was done, I ran one of the W Plus 9 Happy Trio dies through my Sizzix Big show using some  of the patterned paper I had leftover, i then ran it through again using some white cardstock to add behind it and just slightly off aligned them so u could just see the white poking through. I stamped a sentiment from Mama Elephant Happy Everything stamp set using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad, added some white embossing powder and melted it (I also prepped the cardstock beforehand using a powder tool). I cut the sentiment down to size using my Tim Holtz Guillotine.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).
