Whimsy Stamps - Friends In The Flower Garden

Hi Everyone,

As we move our way through the end of the year, which I cannot believe that we are this close to the end by the way, I have been trying to get lots of cards made making sure I am all stocked up before the holidays hit us. I'm excited to work on Christmas Cards for the next couple of months.

This week I have been playing with some Whimsy Stamps rubber stamps (something a little different from my Digi Design Team position) I have loved Whimsy Stamps since I first started stamping so I love my position with them so much.

Today I have used a Rubber Stamp called Flower Garden Friends, I stamped it onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black then coloured it up using Copic Markers. Seriously though how cute is this stamp :-)

I will have clickable links to purchase the image below my blog post :-)

Some more info on this stamp "Flower Garden Friends" illustrated by Marina Fedotova for Whimsy Stamps.
Deeply etched rubber mounted on cling cushion foam, untrimmed. Approximate size in inches: 3.3 x 3.7

Flower Garden Friends Rubber Cling Stamp

Once my image was all coloured up I cut it down to size using my Fiskars Surecut Trimmer. I then grabbed a patterned paper pad from American Crafts called "Autumn Crisp", it is a 6x6 paper pad, I ran a small piece of leftover through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle dies and cut some other pieces down to size. I cut a plain piece of Kaisercraft Cardstock and adhered all the layers down to a Twiddleybitz Card Base (no longer available to purchase sorry).

The circle and the small strip I adhered using some American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive just so I was able to slightly move them if needed.

I then adhered the last layers and the image. I cut the excess pieces hanging off the sides using EK Success Cutterbee scissors. Finally I used some excess pieces to decorate the inside of my card.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Time For Tea Designs - Furr-reaking Halloween

More Halloween cards are being pumped out of my craft room at the moment and it is making me so happy :-)

Today I am breaking out the next new release from Time For Tea Designs - this is Furr-reaking Halloween Full Collection (you can find the affiliate link below) I have used the little kitty cat and the broom on my card. One of the sentiments was also used.

Patterned papers came from DCWV Spooky Halloween, I used one sheet for the background layer and another for the banner on the left, I also used some leftover pieces for the inside decoration of my card.

I cut some black cardstock from American Crafts to use as the bottom layer, which I adhered to a Twiddleybitz Card Base using Scotch ATG. I then added them patterned piece and the banner piece.

I printed the images onto X-press It Blending Cardstock then coloured them using Copic Markers.

After colouring the image I inked the background using Ranger Distress Inks and a mini ink blending tool to blend a night background, even though I didn't use watercolour paper I was able to spray very lightly with water to create the watery effect. I then used a white gel pen to create stars.

Once the images and background was coloured up I used my EK Success Cutterbee Scissors to fussy cut the image, I then used a black marker to edge it.  Once I had the images ready to go, I carefully used a Pen Knife to cut his feet so I could slide the broom underneath and adhered it using American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

I then adhered the circle to the patterned papers, then the sentiment I slid under the tail and trimmed off the extras.

Once I thought my card was done I grabbed some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the Glow In the Dark colours to add some dots, I carefully tapped my card on my desk to create the dome shapes before they dried.

And wow are these glow in the dark Nuvo drops are awesome! So so cool :-) Check them out if you can cause you definitely want some. That reminds me im sure I purchased some glow in the dark embossing powder I will have to give that a try soon.

Scruffy Cat Santa Hat - Whimsy Stamps

This Scruffy Kitty with Santa Hat from Whimsy Stamps could not get any cuter, he is just adorable.

I printed the image and the sentiment up using my Brother Laser Printer and XPress It Blending Cardstock then coloured him using Copic Markers.

I used some Yellow/Gold and Red cardstock from American Crafts which I cut using Fiskars Trimmer. The patterned papers are from American Crafts Hollyday 6x6 Paper Pad. I love the little tiny images on this patterned paper. I also added a doily from my stash.

The little snowflake is from MFT Stamps Stylish Snowflakes die, which I ran through my Sizzix Big Shot using a leftover piece of X-Press it Cardstock.

I fussy cut the sentiment using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors, I then adhered it to a leftover piece of the red cardstock then fussy cut it again leaving a border of red.

I added all my layers to a Twiddleybitz Card Base using Scotch ATG and on the doily I used American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive.

I used some orange card stock from American Crafts for my bottom mat layer then grabbed some patterned papers from DCWV Spooky Halloween Paper Pad and cut them up using Fiskars Surecut Trimmer. I bannered one small piece using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors. I adhered all the layers to a Twiddleybitz Card Base using Scotch ATG.

Whimsy Stamps - Coffee Break with the Penguins

It feels weird for me making Winter cards, we are just out of winter months here in Australia it is starting to warm up which we are looking forward to.

On a positive I have loved making winter cards the past few weeks, how cute is this little Penguin from Whimsy Stamps, but would you expect anything else from Crissy Armstrong :-)  She is the Queen of Penguins.

This is Penguin Coffee Break Set - Digital Stamp( WHM ) from Whimsy Stamps, and a digital file that you can download and print.

I printed the image and the sentiment onto X-Press It Blending Card using my Brother Laser Printer.

The patterned papers I have used on my card are from an American Crafts 6x6 Paper Pad called Hollyday. I cut two layers, one bigger layer and one a little bit bigger than the image. I adhered the larger piece to a Pre-made card base from Twiddleybitz (Unfortunately these are now retired). I added a doily on top of this piece using liquid adhesive.

The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps, I printed this when I printed the image out. I will try and find the link for that when I do the link ups at the end.

The Tree is cut from MFT Stamps Birch Trees dies, I ran them through my Sizzix Big Shot using Kraft Cardstock. I adhered them to the doily/patterned paper using American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive. I then layered the smaller of the patterned papers down.

The image I ran through my Sizzix Big Shot using MFT Inside/Out Stitched Rounded Rectangles, I then adhered it to the smaller patterned paper piece using Scotch ATG. I ran some excess of the blending card through my Big Shot using MFT Stamps Snowflakes dies, and then adhered them using a small dab of liquid adhesive.

My card still needed a little more at this stage so I grabbed some green rhinestones from Kaisercraft and added them to the centre of my snowflakes.

Finally I cut the sentiment to size and adhered it to the bottom of my card using Scotch ATG.

I decorated the inside of the card to match using leftover pieces of the patterned papers.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).

Whimsy Stamps - Penguin and Reindeer Friend

How quick is Christmas coming, it's crazy! Christmas stamps have already started being released at Whimsy Stamps, and this one has got to be my favourite one so far.

This is Penguin and Reindeer Friend from the Rubber Collection from Crissy Armstrong.

I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock then coloured it using Copic Markers.

I wanted to use the design of the Kaisercraft Nesting Square Bracket, I traced the inside of the die over the image them fussy cut it using EK Success Cutterbee Scissors, I then used some brown American Crafts Cardstock and ran the die through my Sizzix Big Shot.

Once I had both layers cut I used some American Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Adhesive to adhere the two of them together.

I used another layer of the brown cardstock to cut a mat layer, I then cut a patterned paper piece from Kaisercraft Mistle Toe 6 1/2inch Paper Pad and adhered them together.

I cut another piece from the patterned paper and angled it, I adhered it using Scotch ATG then cut off the overhanging using Cutterbee Scissors. I then adhered the doily and all the other days.
Everything was finally added to a Twiddleybitz Card base using the Scotch ATG.

Basketball with Rose - Red Cardinal Crafts

Good Morning All!

Today I just finished an order for a basketball girl card, this "Basketball Girl" Image from Red Cardinal Crafts was perfect.

I was able to personalise the image to make it look like the receiver which always makes my cards that little bit more special.

I coloured the image up using Copic Markers after printing onto X-Press It Blending Cardstock using my Brother Laser Printer.

I used patterned papers from Basic Grey - Mint Julep 6x6 Paper Pad, I loved using these smaller paper pads these days because I love the smaller images/patterns.

The layers were cut using Fiskars Surecut Trimmer and all adhered to a Twiddleybitz Card Base using Scotch ATG. Unfortunately these card bases are no longer available to purchase.

The sentiment I created in MS Word as It was a special request sentiment, I also printed this on X-Press It Blending Card so the white card stocks were matching.

I ran some of the patterned paper through my Sizzix Big Shot using Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die. The little hearts im unsure where they are from as they were sitting on my little tray on my desk from another project.

I used some of the leftover pieces of patterned papers to decorate the inside of my card.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message or contact me via facebook (all links can be found below).
